Okay, albeit, this is an oversight by the state, but this is an ethical oversight by the woman in questoin. If she used her winnings to purchase two homes, then shame on her for not thinking of the future, sell one or rent it out. If you win a million smackers then you should have enough common sense to mitigate the spending of it. She had enough to live off of very comfortably for nearly ten years if she simply put it into interest bearing accounts, instead she became a property owner, who by the way, will not be able to afford the property taxes unless she starts brining in an income...
This story shouldn't even have become a big story, just a waste of some journalists time. The state needs to charge her with misuse/fraud and recoup their losses (with interest) to give back to another who needs the help.
